Join MAX for an evening with the Smuin Ballet, San Francisco’s premier contemporary ballet company.

On the bill for this evening’s performance is Dance Series 02, Smuin’s final program of its 25th anniversary season.  This program features The Best of Smuin, including the return of timeless Michael Smuin favorites such as “Unforgettable,” “Foolish Things,” and the red-hot chair solo “Fever”. This showcase of classics is packed with the ol’ razzle-dazzle, visually stunning effects, and twists that are Smuin’s trademarks.

Dance Series 02 also features a highly-anticipated world premiere from master dance maker Amy Seiwert.  This smashing new work will feature Seiwert’s signature choreography, described by the San Francisco Chronicle as “keeping founder Michael Smuin’s legacy of unabashed showmanship alive.” As a choreographer, Seiwert has pushed the boundaries of dance by collaborating with artists of other disciplines and experimenting with its various forms and expressions from a classical base.  Now Artistic Director of Sacramento Ballet, Amy Seiwert returns to help Smuin celebrate its quarter-century anniversary celebration.

    • 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
    • New Conservatory Theatre Center, 25 Van Ness Street, San Francisco

Join MAX and the New Conservatory Theatre Center (NCTC), the premier LGBTQ theatre center in San Francisco, for the regional premiere of the smash Off-Broadway hit, The View Upstairs.

Glam-rock, gospel and modern pop collide in the smash Off-Broadway hit The View UpStairs. When impulsive entrepreneur Wes buys a dilapidated building in the French Quarter of New Orleans, he’s phantasmically transported to its glory days: the UpStairs Lounge in 1973. Serving as a home, a church, and a gay dive-bar, the UpStairs was its own kind of paradise. As Wes meets the larger than life lounge regulars, he learns what has been gained and lost in the fight for equality, and how the past can help guide all of us through an uncertain future.

Written by Max Vernon and directed by NCTC Founder and Artistic Director, Ed Decker.

Join MAX Champion Nick Wade for this fun evening of heartfelt comedy and fun.  After the show, Nick will be heading to nearby Martuini’s (Valencia St and Market St, a seven-minute walk from the theatre).  Feel free to stop by Martuni's and join Nick for a night cap after the show.

Once again, we will have our own exclusive cottages at the Carlisle Garden Suites.  You also have the option of seeing some of the other OSF productions and taking the backstage tour. Discounts Available for the MAX Community!

New York City’s sexiest annual benefit strip show, "Broadway Bares" is coming back to San Francisco in June! Featuring many of the Bay Area’s hottest dancers and strippers to benefit our partner organization, REAF, the Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation, this annual event is always a fun time and we’re really looking forward to it.

The theme this year is Comic Strips.  Watch your favorite comic book characters strip or get stripped in a tongue-in-cheek series of sexy dances while battling their foes and celebrating all things burlesque.  Broadway Bares is a good old-fashioned strip show in the Vaudeville tradition with a modern twist featuring dozens of hot dancers stripping to raise money for HIV and AIDS services.

Tickets range from $45 general admission, $69 front of stage, to $100 VIP balcony seating.  There is an additional $10 service fee to order online.

REAF and the DNA Lounge are offering a $10 discount for the MAX community for general admission and front of stage (Voyeur).

    • General Admission discount code: 4ECK52
    • Front of Stage discount code: DSNJ68

Doors open at 7:00pm, show starts at 8:00pm.

Join MAX and REAF for this fun event for a good cause.
