MAX heads to Oakland for a tour of the historic Camron-Stanford House followed by sandwiches and tea on the veranda. The Camron-Stanford House is the last of the beautiful 19th century mansions that once surrounded Lake Merritt. It was home to five influential families before becoming the first museum in the City of Oakland. The restored home helps visitors take a step back in time to the 1880s and enter meticulously recreated living spaces. For more information click here.
MAX attendees will receive an hour-long private guided tour. Learn about what it was like to live in the house during the 19th century, about some of the people who called Camron-Stanford House home, and about life in Oakland and California during the 19th century.
After the tour, enjoy a brown-bag lunch and self-serve tea service on the veranda. Lunch will include a sandwich of your choice, with a bag of chips, fruit, and dessert. The $25 fee includes both the tour and lunch. Choose your sandwich when you register on the left. No Refunds after October 20.
