Max goes to SF Jazz

Eleven MAX SF members enjoyed a memorable night of Jazz on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at SF Jazz, watching an energetic jazz performance by a quartet of four award-winning jazz musicians. They included pianist Dave Grusin, 91 years old, who has won 10 Grammy Awards and composed soundtracks for Academy Award-winning films such as "Tootsie" and "On Golden Pond," and 73-year-old guitarist Lee Ritenour, who also has won many awards. They were joined by two dynamic younger jazz musicians from Brazil, who played bass and drums. Before the event, eight of the MAX SF attendees went out to dinner at Rad Radish, a chic vegetarian/vegan restaurant just a few steps from SF Jazz in Hayes Valley. We finished a bit early at dinner, so also wandered off (as good MAX SF members do!) to a nearby cocktail bar, Sugar Lounge, for a drink before the concert!
