Your Chosen Family: Making New Friends & Building Community

Middle age often brings unique challenges when socializing and meeting new people. Many find that their social circles shrink over time and these challenges can be even more pronounced for queer folks due to past experiences of exclusion or difficulty finding like-minded individuals outside of the bar scene. During this fun and interactive class, you'll discover tips, tools, and techniques to use immediately to overcome these hurdles and expand your social circle within your community. You'll learn proven strategies to overcome resistance while creating meaningful, lasting friendships that feel like family.

The seminar will include a break, during which MAX members will be offered a guided tour of The Academy.

Doors will open at 6:30pm.  The class will be held from 7:00pm - 9:00pm (with a social break).

Cost:

• Free for Academy members (register with The Academy)
  
• $15 for MAX dues-paying members
• $20 for non-members
• No refunds after January 10

A no-host bar will be available for drinks.
