Benefit - Wine Social at Ruth's Table Gallery

MAX will have a private reception with wine and appetizers for a multi-media art exhibit titled “A World Free of Plastic Imagined”. The exhibition aims to call attention to and expand our understanding of the issue of plastic pollution through the lens of Bay Area artists. The curator and a couple of the artists will be present at our event to provide an overview. Proceeds will benefit Ruth’s Table, an arts non-profit that uses the power of creativity and intergenerational relationships to build a more inclusive and connected community. Senior engagement/outreach represents a primary focus for Ruth’s Table.

The gallery is named after Ruth Asawa, a renowned sculptor and arts activist. Asawa donated her dining table on which she created her famous wire sculptures, many of which currently hang in the de Young Museum. Her donation and advocacy for the elderly inspired the formation of what is now Ruth’s Table. Website is: www.ruthstable.org.

The event is limited to 45 people. The cost is $33/person and includes the wine and appetizers. No refunds. Don't miss this thought-provoking exhibit and social! Reservation deadline is August 5^th. Wine will be curated by Jerry Tusan, a local wine distributor. Please drink responsibly.

Ruth’s Table is located at 3160 21^st Street, between Mission and Capp Streets, in the Mission/Valencia commercial area. Numerous dining options are nearby. Location also is close to major public transit options. The 24th & Mission Street BART station is about 3 blocks away. The Mission Bartlett Public Garage at 3255 21^st Street is one block away.
