Get ready for bourbon tasting (once again)! This party was so much fun and so successful last year, so we decided to do a repeat.
Join us and sample fine bourbons and bourbon drinks, including the Kentucky Derby favorite, the Mint Julep. We'll try to get a few different kinds of bourbon from last year. For food, we will again be serving Kentucky Derby burgoo (a stew unique to Kentucky and a meal in itself). We will also have our famous bourbon chocolate dessert.
This event will be held at a MAX member's glamorous penthouse on Telegraph Hill with sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate - the same venue as last year. Hopefully, we will have great weather this year, so we can go outside to enjoy the spectacular views of San Francisco. The fun starts at 5pm and continues to 8pm.
Bruce Cecil and Philip Carberry again are the MAX Hosts. Bruce brings the regional expertise, as he is originally from Louisville Kentucky. We also are hoping that this event will build some enthusiasm for a possible MAX trip this fall to Kentucky, where we would tour along the historic and famous "Bourbon Trail" (and some other great nearby sites, such as Churchill Downs, My Old Kentucky Home State Park, the great horse farms of Lexington, historic Bardstown, and the Louisville Sluggers Baseball Factory). We will have more info about this proposed trip on February 29th at the Bourbon Tasting Party.
We are limiting the number of attendees to 25, so don't miss out on this fabulous event. The deadline to register is Wednesday, February 26th.
The exact address will be sent a week in advance to those who register.The price is $25 for MAX dues-paying members, and $35 for others and guests.
Unfortunately, there can be no refunds because of the purchasing that must be accomplished before the party.
