Last year, we had over 100 people at our Bastille Day Pool Party in Sonoma. On Saturday, July 14th at noon, we’re doing it all again! Hosted by the lovely Len Handeland and Byron Hancock (long-time members of MAX), this “tentpole” event is one of our major annual parties for all MAX members and guests.
Enjoy the sun, swimsuits, heat, and glistening pool in Sonoma along with a French Feast and all French cocktails. And this year, our celebration will pay homage to Emmanuel Macron, the handsome President of France (who allegedly has a boyfriend who is the former head of Radio France--Mathieu Gallet--google for more information).
Our theme will be "Dreams of Emmanuel Macron." So, if you've ever thought of offering yourself up for the French state, join us.
Byron and Len have a beautiful home in Sonoma. They kindly open their home for us each July so that we can celebrate all things French. Last year, the thermometer was over 100 degrees. To say the least, the bar was busy! We hope it will be just as busy this year. We will be featuring the French 75 champagne cocktail; beautiful men in swimsuits; a delightful poolside setting; berets, kerchiefs, and sunglasses; and a magnificent French feast prepared by Chef de Cuisine Phil Walker and his team.
