Join event co-champions Joel Barish and Jim Cady online on Thursday, May 14th at 7:30 p.m. for the second in our roundtable series regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.  The discussion will be moderated by Joel, who is Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSF. Joel keeps up to date regarding the latest information and developments about this pandemic and will provide a useful perspective given his professional knowledge and experience.  This will not be a question and answer session or lecture, but rather an open discussion facilitated by Joel.

There is no charge for this event, but space is limited to 30 people.  ITo ensure a robust discussion with everyone participating at a common baseline of knowledge, participants are requested to watch in advance a short 20-minute video that will serve as the basis for discussion. Join your fellow MAX members for a lively and engaging discussion. Hear from a doctor, gain insight from an actual COVID-19 survivor, and share your thoughts about the pandemic and our collective path forward.

Here's how this event will work:

  • Click REGISTER on the left to register for the online video meeting.  The video meeting will be conducted via Zoom .  Please be sure to provide an accurate email address so that you'll receive the invitation to the video meeting.
  • Jim will email a link for the Zoom meeting by the early afternoon of May 14th.
  • On Thursday May 14th, click on the link in the email from Jim to join the 7:30 p.m. Zoom meeting.  Nothing else needs to be done.  If using a PC, you'll want a working microphone and speakers.  If you have a webcam, then others will be able to see you.  Zoom also works very well if you have an iPad or a smartphone - you just need to download the free app.  You may also call-in with any phone and participate via voice only.
  • You'll be able to see and talk with others from MAX as you share your thoughts and concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic.
You must register in order to receive the link to the Zoom meeting, participate in the Zoom meeting, and to receive any further details from the event champions.
