AIDS/LifeCycle (ALC) is a fully-supported, 7-day bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS. It is the largest annual fundraiser for San Francisco AIDS Foundation. AIDS/LifeCycle 2018 will take place June 3-9, 2018. Every year, this landmark ride through beautiful California delivers a life-changing experience for thousands of participants from all backgrounds and fitness levels united by a common desire to do something heroic.

Day Zero is Orientation Day, when thousands of cyclists and roadies will pour into the Cow Palace to begin their 2018 AIDS/LifeCycle experience. It takes over 400 volunteers to ensure that the day runs smoothly and efficiently. Volunteers help all over Day Zero doing various tasks.

The Bridgemen will be helping out with event check-in on Day Zero. So if you weren't able to join the ride this year as a cyclist or roadie, help do your part to end HIV/AIDS by volunteering your time at this event! ALC-branded volunteer T-shirts will be provided to all volunteers for the event.

Once you RSVP, you’ll be requested to provide your first and last name and email address, which will be entered into a separate ALC volunteer database. Every volunteer will also need to sign a waiver. ALC understands and respects your privacy; your info will not be shared outside of the organization.

    • Reyjkavik, Iceland

Last year, MAX went to Iceland with 10 members.  We had an incredible experience, so we are returning in 2018.  We had such a great time and met many handsome and friendly Icelanders.  They invited us to return for their big party this Labor Day:  Bears on Ice.  Who could turn down such an invitation?

Bears on Ice brings together gay men from all over the world (primarily northern Europe) for several days of sightseeing, meals, making friends, and parties in ReykjavikThe sun stays up well past 10 p.m., so there is lots of daylight to enjoy.  And since they have been hibernating all winter, the men of Iceland love to come out and have fun while the sun is shining.

You will find them very handsome.  They love tourists!

The event includes the famous Golden Circle tour (well worth the time) and a spectacular cocktail party in the Blue Lagoon (a one of a kind event).

Full Event Pass ($415) is valid for all events & tours:

    • Thursday Welcome party
    • 2018 Event T-Shirt
    • Friday Golden Circle Tour & lunch buffet
    • Friday Top-Off Party
    • Saturday trip to the Geothermal Blue Lagoon, transport & entrance, plus beer and sandwich afterwards
    • Saturday Main Party
    • Sunday Farewell brunch

(Note:  This is a very good deal because the Golden Circle Tour and Lunch would cost $150.00 alone while the Blue Lagoon entrance and transportation + Lunch would cost $200.00.)

In addition to the Event Pass, there are so many options while exploring Reykjavik.  Sights include everything from  waterfalls, to black bays, the Geothermal Plant, geysers, as well as the gay life of native Icelanders. And unplanned adventures abound!

You do not have to attend "Bears on Ice," but we wanted to be in Reykjavik while all the attendees are there.   W
hat better opportunity to tour Iceland with a group of gay men from all over Europe?

This event really is a Choose Your Own Adventure-style vacation. You choose where you want to stay, you choose where you want to go, you choose what you want to do, and you choose when you want to do it.

    Cost:
Airfare on  WOW airlines, as low as:
    • $ 416, departing August 29th, returning Sunday, September 2nd
    • $ 466, departing August 29th, returning on Labor Day, September 3rd
Full Event Pass: $ 415, which includes the Golden Circle Tour, Blue Lagoon, Parties, Farewell Brunch, and more. Link to purchase here.

The charge to be part of the MAX group will be $50 for members and $125 for non-members.

If you share a room in an Airbnb, you may be able to cover your airfare, lodging, and event pass for as low as $ 1215 per person (members) /
    $ 1290 per person (non-members).

We'll kick things off on our arrival day with a MAX cocktail party leading into the official Bears on Ice welcome party.

Join MAX SF for our own unique twist on Thanksgiving.

MAX provides the Turkeys and the Libations, while attendees each bring a dish to share with others. From sides to desserts, this makes for an absolutely magnificent Feast of Friends for "MAXGiving."

After feasting on culinary treats and magnificent desserts, our own MAX Minstrels present: The True (Gay) Story of Thanksgiving: The Musical.

From the twisted pen of MAX member, Phil Walker, this production will feature many of the talented members of MAX as they share a tale of the Pilgrims and Native Americans like you have never seen before. Featuring such instant Thanksgiving classics as, "I Want to Be Where the Bottoms Are," and "I Like the Taste of 'Chicken' But Now I'm Ready for Turkey!" , this is a one-time production you will not want to miss!
